I agree w/ the first replier, you don't want to mess with the thermostat. My wife was using my car when the heater went out, and it burnt her leg, and a hole in the cover. It's still warm out, but when it gets cold, you'll find that there is plenty of heat. Also, if you plan on keeping the car for any length of time, cranking that heat above design level will make your leather seat cover dry and crack prematurely.
