Subject: 1988 900 S Vibration under load.

I have the following vibration problem with my 1988 900S. The vibration is felt during acceleration only from about 10 MPH and increases in magnitude as the speed increases and can be felt up to highway speeds, although it is strongest around 20 to 30 MPH. The vibration can be felt in the steering wheel, floor and seat. Taking the foot off the gas stops the vibration completely. In addition, the vibration is directional sensitive, i.e. turning to the right under power increases the vibration markedly and turning to the left decreases it. It is basically gone when the steering wheel is turned 45 degrees or more to the left. The following has be done to try to fix this problem with no success. Both transmission drivers and bearings have been replaced. A new outer CV joint was installed first on the right side and then on the left. My mechanic is at a loss at the moment of what to do and so am I. Any ideas of what could be causing this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jan G.
