Subject: Re: 9-3 phone installation ? coax for antenna?

I bought the Nokia hands free kit and the adapter harness from Saab. You need to match up the wires from teh adapter with the hands free harnesses that come with the Nokia hf kit. My 9-3 SE did not (surprise!) have a microphone or lead in the headliner, just the little plastic grille thing. Nor did I find a coax cable lurking behind the radio. I disassembled the microphone that comes with the Nokia kit and with a bit of hobby knife trimming and a dab of epoxy, mounted it to the back of the little plastic grille and snaked the wire down the A-pillar to the console. I coiled the antenna lead that comes with the Nokia kit beneath the dash and hid the antenna there as well; I wrapped it all in foam and taped it to the dash cross member. My Saab harness did not have the audio-input for the radio (argh!!!), so I removed and discarded the Nokia speaker's back cover and mounted that speaker and plastic grille to the little useless coin box next to the lighter/accessory 12V plug. It fits the cutout nicely and looks made for the dash. Of course, that eliminates 50% of the storage space in the car (sic). pg JBurten <jburtennopsamcom> wrote in message news:19991010125752.10017.00000580nopsama1.aol.com... > I am looking to install my cell phone in my 9-3.
