This would be pretty risky IMHO. You are obviously leaking oil in relatively substantial quantity, and that oil is obviously dripping onto a hot engine (hence the smoke "under the hood"). The creates the risk of an engine fire, which would spoil your day. If you MUST drive it, be sure to check the oil before you start it each time and keep it full.
