Thanks to all who offered advice on my fuel pump question. I pulled the pumps from my 86 900 and have installed a replacement pump and new filter. There's plenty of fuel pressure exiting the fuel filter, HOWEVER, fuel is not passing through the fuel distributor. Any suggestions about what's going on here? Could the fuel distributor shut down or frozen when it was starved for fuel? Any advice is appreciated. By the way, it was interesting to see the various prices I was quoted for the fuel pumps: Saab dealer: Fuel pump - $348 Feeder pump - $89 Local autoparts store: Advance Fuel $249 - Feeder - $ 49 Autozone 269 - $ 48 Carquest " 189 - " $ 49 Internet parts source (new) " 219 - " $ 45 Internet parts source a (used)" 135 (both w/ 6 mo. warranty) Internet parts source b (used)" 75 (both w/ 90 day warranty) I ended up taking the $75 (including shipping) used pumps from Volvo & Saab Auto Dismantlers in Sacramento, CA. http://volvosaabparts.com/ They knew exactly what I was looking for and had an exact matching pump. For an additional $20 they would have provided a lifetime replacement warranty. I highly recommend them for used parts. Greg Youngen St. Joseph, IL
