Help! I have a 91 9000CD in which the timing chain just broke and the engine is locked at 98,000 miles. No warning. Anyway, the suggested approach is to replace with a used engine - but who knows what state that might be in. Has anyone ever "upgraded" (as part of an engine replacement) to a much later year - say 96-98? Does anyone know of a place (other than SAAB) to get a rebuilt engine?
