I've got a '91 9000 with the same engine (132K miles) and have had only minor engine problems. A water pump replacement and an A/C compressor replacement are about it. I had owned a 1984 900 before it, passed it on to my 20 year old daughter when we bought the '91 (the '84 went on to about 220K miles, albeit with a manual transmission replacement at 160K miles). I thought the 900 was a superbly handling around town car. My wife and I had planned to buy another in '91, but test drove the 9000 as well. We're glad we bought it, as it is a dream to drive on long road trips, which we take several times a year. The 9000 almost seems to pull you along the road, very stable, very controllable, very comfortable. You may have a couple of mechanical problems with this car, but your experience with it will likely be like mine...it's well worth it! anton stayduhar wrote: > Thanks to all for your commentary.
