It seems there are a few "universal stereotypes" from country to country. I am on my 4th SAAB now (a '96 900 SE) and I can honestly say that I have never had anything major go wrong with these cars. However, even the small things are costly. I think possibly that here in the states (at least in the New England area) that so many owners keep their cars for so long that when they do get rid of them, there is very little resale value left. Not really a valid arguement and maybe a bit off thread, but just my opinion. BTW - what the heck is a "wide boy?" Regards, Eric P.S.
