Subject: Re: Adding a turbo to non-turbo 900S

I think there's more to turbos than that. As a VW factory mechanic and later Superbooboo's we tried turboing some diesels with poor longivety, and one of our salesman turboed his 240 Z. After six engines he finally got it right. So I would first find an understanding parts guy and ck part numbers between the turbo model and N.A. models of the same engine. You usually have to strengthen the rods and lower the compression to make a turbo stay together. the computer does the rest. Hope this helps save you a "ton" of money. Let thoes high prised engineers blow the motors and you should trade up to a turbo and be really happy/ Mark Plumlee <turbospgnopsamsouth.net> wrote in message news:381F68DA.F22759CFnopsamsouth.net... > its possible, but just get a turbo car, as youi would probable spend near > $5k for new engine, wiring harness, install and guage cluster, new exhaust, > > > > Mark > > Mattrazzo wrote: > > > I've got a '95 Saab 900S non-turbo.
