Further proof is evidenced upon inspection of the Warning label on any Anti-Freeze/Coolant bottle. --- Do not inhale warm fumes.--- Had the same problem in 1996. Freezing my Ass off in Minnesota in January. -20 Degrees F. So I ran the heater with steam rolling out every orifice in the car. Following that, I got extremely sick with what seemed like a cross between Pneumonia and Bronchitis. If you smell something like pancakes during the Winter when the heat is on, you are inevitably poisoning yourself and anyone else present in the vehicle. This may seem like common knowledge to some, but I bet most do not know or care. But now you do know. Common causes of Heater core failure are linked to Anti-Freeze Stop Leak.
