Also I would suggest that wearing a seltbelt would save you a lot of damage too. I go motor racing and they are not there just to look pretty having been involved in a couple of track pile ups (Not my fault I hasten to add!!) The back end is no worse than any other make of car, and definitely better than an early Ford Pinto!!. Cost of repair depends on your country etc, but any car is expensive to fix, and finding somebody who can do it properly is abit like finding the holy grail, luckily there is a couple of older guys near me how are very good.
