Was told that front sway bars weren't added to the 900 until '87, but can be as an add-on kit. $$$ and much time. I find our '85 900 has a lot of body roll. It's a non-turbo, 8-valve. Not fast. I find the body roll very difficult to anticipate and it's hard to keep the car feeling tight to the road. Everything checked ok too, suspension-wise. I can't imagine trying to drive the car this way if it were turbo-16V. Our 9000 is turbo-16V and sticks to the road like it's on rails. My 99 (model, not model year) also stuck to the road similarily. It's just our 85 900 that's loose. The design is very different. If I were going to do anything like you're thinking of, I'd be adding more anti-roll support, and the swaybar kit up front. Definitely. And harder shocks and springs.... ;) But perhaps your's feels a lot tighter. Just my CDN$0.02. -chris p.s. read somewhere recently that putting the bushings in the freezer overnight makes it a lot easier to replace them.
