Just wanted to say thanks to the folks with good suggestions.
We got the right tools, and removed the mounting plate. This made things
easy (if you can say that for a job that should have only taken a few
minutes...) ;-)
Issues like this make me want to take the guys who design these cars and
have them work on them some.
I still love our saabs though. They're safe, nice to drive and still a very
good value when compared to other cars.
