Regarding the TDC timing marks on the B motor during timing chain replacement: When the flywheel is at zero degrees, the cam mark is aligned (#1 at top of compression stroke), and the oblong lobe of the idler sprocket is at the mark in the plate - where should the distributor rotor be pointing? I had assumed at the mark on the distributor housing, but with 20BTDC timing, won't it be aligned at the 20 degree mark on the flywheel instead? (it does) It wasn't aligned with the old chain, and isn't now with the new. Is everything cool, or should the all the marks (flywheel, cam, idler, distributor) line up? Thanks! John 1980 900 EMS
