During a tight turn like that the outer wheel travels much further than the inner wheel, and on a front wheel drive car I don't believe the two wheels have any feedom to move independently of one another. Therefore one of the tires will tend to slip and jerk in order to "catch up" with the other. This may be more or less noticable depending on the surface you're turning on. Ulf
