Tried to put the Gilsavid snows on my 9k tonight, and a "theft proof" lug nut snapped off. These are the ones that have the clover-leaf like center shape, and an 1/8th an inch or so skirt around the center, that come with a matching socket wrench. I guess in the cold, the metal just snapped off (the skirt around the center). Tried heating it with a propane torch, and then going at with a hammer and cold chisel, trying to notchy into the lug, then get it to turn, all to no avail. We've got ice on the ground here, and those 16" XGTZ Michilens aren't with a damn in the snow and ice. Any ideas to loosen this lug nut, without destroying an alloy rim?
