Subject: 900 convertible ride quality...

I also have an 88 900 covertible with turbo, and frankly it rides like a truck. Not cowl shake, which is good for a 12 year old car with 125K, but stiff, annoying unpleasant ride quality. Top this with a motor that resists being revved over 4K without protest and it is very uninspiring. I have had this car car for about 5 months and am trying with great difficulty to find a warm spot in my heart for it. It is built like a tank and feels very safe to drive, but it is without any soul. Perhaps I should stick to my oddball Alfas, but the size and weight of this car and my 164 (same base as the 9000) are similar and different poles as far as driving pleasure. Not to drop a wet rag on the forum, but what is wrong with this car? Is it mine, or are all of these cars like this? Anyone want to buy it? :o) Bill mailto:alfabillnopsametcom.com Tampa FL 91 Alfa 164, 88 SAAB 900 cab turbo 85 Alfa Spider, 71 VW Westy Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
