Subject: Re: Tire On Pressure on 88 9000T

I just happen to have the manual for an 88 9KT and I get slightly conflicting numbers from two different listings, but they're close: The Specifications page says: 1-3 occupants and maximum cruising speed of 130 mph (210 km/h) 30 psi front and rear Heavier loads or higher cruising speed (!) 36 psi front and rear. The quick reference page in the back says: For normal motoring with 1-3 occupants 30 psi front and rear With heavy load or high-speed cruising 36 psi front, 33 psi rear These figures are for 205/55 VR 15 tires. I keep mine at 30-32 psi. The ride gets progressively more punishing and noisy as the pressure goes up. The higher pressures would keep the tires from peeling off the rims, though, if you go autocrossing or otherwise subject your car to extreme cornering loads.
