My first was a 9-5 SE 2.3 LPT Saloon (manual shift), then I brought last year a silver 9-5 SE 2.3 LPT Wagon (automatic). Both cars are fantastic, but the Wagon i think looks better than the Saloon. The best I testet was the 9-5 AERO some weeks before. Here in germany all tests against Volvo says: SAAB 9-5 is the better swedish car. In all tests the 9-5 Wagon becomes good notes (similar to BMW 5er Touring, Audi A6, Mercedes E-Klasse) and thatīs a very compliment for a not "german" car. I think the styling of SAAB is much individual against 08/15 design. I love them. All my 9-5 was modified by the CARLINE AG of Switzerland. They powerd up from 170 HP to 220 HP (only Electronic, complete new programming). The 9-5 SE Salon comes up to 260 km/h (100 km/h in 7,6 s), the Wagon (havier: 100 kg) up to 245-250 km/h (100 km/h in 7,9 s). The new automatic gear is fantastic. The only problem I have with the modified carīs are the brakes. The brake are for 170 HP not for 220 HP. So i let modify my car with brakes from new AERO model (no problem, i talk with SAAB engineers at IAA in Frankfurt last year. But the "normal" 2.3 LPT with 170 HP have enough power.
