check the tie-rod ends and steering rac fo slop first- cv's usually show up most on a prolonged turn- they are checked by doing a figure eight in a parking lot round some one with good ears. check your A frames on the suspension for missing rubber and then have a mechanic with a special tool compress the suspension and ck the ball joints for demtion- give the ball joints a grease job (if they have zerts) and see if the noise has changed.
