The door on my 1986 9000i is locked and no matter what I try, I cannot get it to open. Using the key, i can turn the locking cylinder in the closed direction although I do not hear the central doorlock mechanism activate. Turning to unlock the lock is hardly possible to the extend when things were right. Again no central door (un)-locking action is to be heard. Both interior and exterior door handles seem to act in vacuum . . . and the stub near the window seems stuck down.(No movement possible) Seems like a catch 22 to me as I do not seem to be able to get at the inner mechanics of the lock without being able to open the door. Does anyone have any ideas to offer on how to get the door to open in such a case? (Preferrably without the aid of a can opener?) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as I am getting tired of entering the car from the other side and crowl over to the drivers seat. Thanks for any advice.
