Excellent point. 2 cases for consideration:

1. My wife - 1999 9-3 200 + crapped-out Compaq.     Car is worth more than the PC.

2. Me - 1983 900 GL + Dell.     PC is worth more than the car.

Case (1) doesn't look at alt.autos.saab
Case (2) does.

Might be a pattern here?
