Subject: Re: Saab 9-5 or Volvo S80 ?

Actually Car and Driver said the Volvo 850 turbo was the fastest mass produced sedan back in 1994 and Volvo has continually added more horses and torque to their cars ever since. The S70 T5 manual is faster than all of the Saabs you cited including the Viggen. In fact the S80 T6 automatic tied the Viggen for acceleration as I recall from the review I read of the Viggen (hopefully someone can verify this as I'm away from the magazine collection this week). Thanks. -rdo russell.ollienopsamnet p.s. - Saab have certainly been more sporty than Volvos traditionally but that is no longer an absolute rule.
