Greetings all, I purchased a '92 9000S with 50K miles in November for my retired parents. This week I had to deal with a stuck thermostat and a leaky heater core. After being given an estimate for nearly $900 for this service, I accessed saabnet.com and this newsgroup to research the problem of heater cores. It seems too common a problem to be a coincidence. I printed a few interesting articles and messages and faxed these to the SAAB dealer (Tom Kelly in Fort Wayne, IN). The service advisor pleaded my case with SAAB North America. Even though the recall for the SRS electronics had already been serviced, SAAB North America agreed to replace the heater core (parts and labor) at no cost to me. It seems SAAB may have a lawsuit pending with the manufacturer of these pathetic heater cores. Good luck! Eric Isaacson, BSME isaacsonnopsamuterpartners.com PS: SAAB - Never again!
