Turbocharging their engines is also a late day arrival for them. The Saab 9000 was voted in SWEDEN as the safest sedan. Don't get your facts mixed up. The Saab Aero or even the old SPG would crush a Volvo in the twisties. Its like Road andTrack said in the comparison of the T6 and the 9-5 Aero: The Aero is a true sports sedan the T6 is a luxury car trying to be sporty. The Viggen will eat up an S70 T5 in both sheer accelaration and especially in handling, never mind cargo space. I own a Volvo and a Saab and believe me the fit and finish on the Volvo can't hold a candle to the Saab, and innovation at Volvo seems to be copying Saab eventually.
