time ranger has a point though.

you have to consider why the hood looks like crap. whatever process is
occuring (oxidation, sun damage, etc) it is happening to the rest of
the car too. the hood and roof (if you had one) take the brunt and are
the first to fail. The trunk is next and the doors will follow in a
year or so.
