I would find a reputable Saab shop and get the car checked over from front to back. Especially after what the first shop did and failed to do do the car. This "free" car may turn out to be very expensive. > > where can I get a manual for the car? The girl who gave me the car threw > it away. The previous owner did not consider the manual very important, so I would suspect that all of the service and maintenance recommendations may have been ignored. With the car being a turbo, this could require replacing the turbo, which is not inexpensive. But, you can still come out ahead in the end. A national used car dealer has two 1995 turbo 900s for about $15,000. You could re-build the entire car for less than that. Good luck and keep us informed. >
