Subject: noise in 95 900S front end when very cold



I've been experiencing a "crunching" noise coming from the front/end
(shocks? suspension bar?) of my 95 900S when hitting small dips or potholes,
but only when it very cold (no problem at -5 C, crunchy at -15 C).  A couple
of mechanics have taken a look but nothing seems out of whack.  The car
seems to handle just fine otherwise.

Anyone have any suggestions ?
