my shifter acted like that recently (i have an '89 900T). on mine it would move all over the place and no gears were "defined". once in gear it would also move about. i ended up getting stuck at a retarded dealer down here (d.c.) and i had to have a plastic bushing changed. it was very "labor intensive". they stuck me for 4 hours of labor. it's much better now but it still isn't perfect. i'm not sure if that could be your problem. there's a few places between the shifter and tranny that wear. some are cheap to fix. with mine they had to remove the seat, the rug partly, and get the center console apart. the dealer i trust (back home in good ole' buffalo) told me that it was probably a long job but they should have replaced everything down in there when they did it. the parts are relatively cheap. now i'm babbling. since your car is only 6 years old the odds are in your favor that it's something "easy" (e.g., spring, plastic "thingy"). not sure if this was helpful... good luck Rodel Padua <paduanopsam.com> wrote in message news:bali4.9483$up4.221910nopsam1.rdc1.ab.home.com... > Hello, just thought someone out there might have had a similar experience > with their Saab. > I have 2 Saabs, a 1986 900s and a 1994 900s.
