When I replaced my 242Gt seats with Ricaros (their cheaper line without the Ricaro name) they were hard as a rock. But they were the best seats of our three cars, especially for long trips. The best stock seats we have ever had were in our BMW 528e. If your measure of a car is soft seats or straight line acceleration and speed, stay away from a BMW. It's more of a complete drivers car from the European "road race" point of view.
