If you have a set of ramps you can trust and some one who knows what "WHOA" means try crawling under the front of the car and have some one -GENTLY- put the car in forward then reverse with the parking brake on. You should be able to see the offending part with out being in to much peril. If the prospects of the car jumping off the ramps dosn't appeal to you have your local garage put it up on a drive on lift.
