You can listen to them drag now & soon not notice, or you can leave them removed & later you will notice the sound of your shocks dragging along the ground. These "mud flaps" protect a sensitive rust prone area of your suspension from salt & ice & road debris accumulation. Saab learned their week point & fixed it -- have you known automakers to put unneeded parts in their cars (glamour items aside)?
