I'm beginning to think this is normal. My 96 900SE (I know... newer but still the 2.0t) does the same thing... idles about 1000 rpm all the time. At first it freaked me a little because all my previous cars idle about 750rpm or less... but now I accept it as normal. For reference, my current Pontiac GTP I have as well as my SE idles about 550rpm... very low RPM's but QUIET at idle. I suspect somebody might have fiddled with the idle on my car to produce greater "off-the-line" performance... it would be just one more in a LONG list of things I've found strange about my Saab to date... next time I'm buying a NEW one! -- Gavin Haslett thumper_svxnopsamo.com "The early bird gets the worm...
