I just replaced my OEMs with a set of Boston Acoustics speakers, they sound 
much better than the originals.  RX47s in the front, RX67s in the rear.  I'm
not sure if your rear speakers are the same size as mine (89 9000T), but mine
are 6.5s in the rear with a separate tweeter.  I just dropped in new coax 6.5s
and have left the old tweeters dangling.
