Sounds like something electrical. Check your diagnostics codes and good luck! P.S. I seem to recall reading in just about any car with a catalytic converter highly recommending against using the clutch to start a car. It was said that the raw fuel could reach the catalytic converter and cause damage by overheating the converter and anything above the converter.
