The price seems too low. That price is just about right, by the way. But unless you are extremely handy and knowledgable about SAABs, you can expect to budget at least $250 per month of ownership to cover shop charges. Every month you don't have to pay the shop, you should put it in the bank. The shop will get it in the end. Whenever buying a used car that cheap, keep it in nice shiny condition until you've had a chance to wring it out, get familiar with its faults as well as its strengths, and make sure you want to keep it, and keep paying to keep it. While it's new to you and still shiny and clean, you can resell it and get your investment back without too much trouble. (I'd do *at least* a compression leakdown test on the engine, I think.) -- Good luck, Buddy Buddy Donnelly donnellynopsamabay.rr.com
