Subject: Answer to my latest Brake problem. Comments PLEASE!!!

Recently I had a serious brake problem where after I parked my car and attemped to go I had no brakes AT ALL!!..I got many replys from people syaing it was the master cylinder..However it turned out to be the ABS computer. Thats right the fucking 3rd most expensive part in the fucking car besides a turbo and transmission. Saab generously asks for 800$. Now this is where I would like some answers and feedback. My ABS prior to this problem had not been working for some months now. Why would it finally act up and shut the brakes down completly? Is that even supposed to happen? I thought it would just cause the ABS not to work like it was doing for months. Now why did it affect my whole brake system later and so seriously? These seems too dangerous and to be a serious problem. Any thoughts? I am really baffeled at this whole situation. Any how i was able to get the computer for 400$ and at the same time the good people at Performance Automotive in Pittsfield Ma, Also notices that I had some problem with a rubber part or something of my crankshaft pulley and replaced that for 140$. A part they said would have left me stranded soon. Well any thoughs on the ABS would be wonderful. Thank you. Brad Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
