Actually, having two master cylinders is a safety feature. Imagine if when your clutch went out, your brakes went out too. Not a pretty picture. I'm not exttremely familiar with the 9000's, but the "classic" 900 did have what I would consider a fault: using the brake reservior as the clutch reservoir also. This might be why you're having brake problems now. Paul
