Subject: Mysterious Leak in Trunk

When it rains very heavily as it did yesterday. The cardboard cover over the rear tail lights inside my trunk of the 87 900S gets soaked near the bottom and some of the trunk carpeting gets wet. This , I think was causing the bad ground problem that caused my rear lights to act up. I used the fix as outlined on this board and my turn signals but it still is getting wet. Since the cardboard only gets wet at the bottom, I think it's not the rubber gasket around the trunk lid. Anyone have a suggestion as to where to start? Jim in WV 87 900 S
