If you buy the book Owners Workshop Manual from Haynes Saab 9000 from 1985 to 1995 you can fix a lot of repairs by yourself. I was not a repairman, but now i save a lot of money. It isn't difficult, the book shows a lot of photos how to repair things. The cost of 436 dollar is high. A secong hand repaired alternator cost you about 60 dollar. Then the cost of a meal in a restaurant with your family because you repaired the car and you are very proud cost 80 dollar. So it cost you 140 dollar. You save 296 dollar!
