Subject: New SAAB Owner Questions
I just bought (but haven't yet taken possession) of a 1995 9000 CS (A/T)
with 74K miles. It produces a very slight steering wheel shimmy. I can't say
if it occurs at all speeds as I had trouble reproducing. It seems more
reproduceable on rough roads as opposed to speed related. Dealer thinks it's
tires (because they are Kelly instead of Michelin) and says they are cupped.
Seems to me it could be indicative of something else causing tire problems.
I'm taking it to my Alfa mechanic for inspection next week, but wondered
what the group thinks.
Group looks good and I look forward to conversations. I'm in Madison,
Wisconsin and also drive an Alfa Spider and Volvo 850.
