Subject: To the SAAB goros

My 91 900S 2.1L non-turbo has been very well taken care of through the years. The car, however, has been driven for short distances most of the time 40,000 miles on the clock (second car and short commute). For sometime now when the temperature is below 35F the car sounds like a diesel (if you didn't know you could swear it's a diesel car). The SAAB mechanic that I trust say it is most probable the lifters but he was not overly concerned about it. Could someone get me trait on this one: 1) is the lifters the only possibility, 2) what needs to be done here (if any), and 3) is it expensive to do ? Many thanks, -- Remove "NOSPAM" from address for direct e-mail ####### # #### # # # # # # # ## # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # ## # # #### # # #
