Subject: Re: 88 900i Brake Upgrgade

Hi Matt! I own a classical 900 turbo convertible and wanted to ask you how you could use 18" rims? What tire size do you use, what is the width and offset of the 18" rim? How did you solve the scrubbing problems on the rear axis under extreme driving conditions? What brake fluid do you use? I also know that the 900turbo really goes faster than the last mark on the speedometer and I also saw that there´s very little response of the standard (front ventillated) brakes at those speeds above 120mph. I also plan a break upgrade for this year and will probably take the TarOx rotors (everyone tells me not to take the BREMBO rotos...) but I am not sure about the pads?! - But this is my road car so there are different demands for the brake system. Greetings, RCS Matt : > simonj <simonjnopsamzz.net.spambuster> wrote in message > news:qmyz4.102$Fh.5871nopsamReader... > > Before the brake conversion, try a brain transplant, i.e. dont drive > on > > road with tight bends at 122mph. > > > > Before typing replies to usenet threads get all the facts, > > The 900i I'm talking about here isn't my road car (like I could get insured > on it I'm 18) its my race car (If you remember I posted here a few months > back on the limits of the 900i).
