On Sun, 12 Mar 2000 20:33:09 +0100, just as I was about to see how much duct tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, RCS <e9225126nopsam1.tuwien.ac.at> distracted me by babbling thusly: >Thatīs pretty clear: GO FOR THE SAAB I had the same choice to make in Oct 98 and bought a 1990 SAAB turbo cab. I'm glad I did. There was also a propensity for the BMWs to crack windscreens at the base due to all the body flex, in spite of the story that the 3 series was designed as a convertible from the ground up (so it had all the necessary strengthening etc etc) and the 900 was nothing more than a standard 900 body which the American Sunroof Company had taken an angle grinder to. Driving at high speeds over some rather unforgiving Australian roads, nothing's cracked or dropped off yet. Wish I could have said the same for my 323i which the SAAB replaced, or the Alfa GTV the BMW replaced. -- Our OS who art in CPU, UNIX be thy name.
