Thanks for the advice. Ive been getting lots of recommendations, and if it was a newer Saab, I think that I would be worried about a tear down, but this 900 is bordering on a "beater" and is my son's college sweetie's car, and she just wants it to run, not put a lot of money in. If its a loss, then she'll move on. Took the head to a machine shop yesterday, they recommend an engine flush, then a quick couple of oil changes. But they also stated it depends on whats gotten to the main bearings. I run the risk. Again, Thanks for taking the time to respond.
