Subject: Swaybar question

Hi All, I have a1989 900 Hatch that does a distinct almost sharp clunk when turning right and going over a bump. I have had it brought to three mechganics who all had no clue. Then I read about doors so I tried that and they were solid. So I went under the car to feel around and discovered that the swaybar can be moved by hand and makes a bump similar to the one I hear. Are swaybars supposed to moved like that? I was always under the impression that they were designed to flex, but not actually move. Rob TIA
