I used to think that > only small Japanese cars like Corolla can achieve such economy. It is a 2.3l manual with 170hp but with new software to give 230hp and 404Nm torque. I don't treat the accelerator carefully when overtaking or accelerating, and drive like 15% city and 85% highway. I have managed to get it to show 5.7L/100KM but that was very careful driving at 110km/h for 30km followed by 90km/h for 40 or 50km. The result of that trip (320km) including some city driving and two cold starts was 6.2L/100KM. I had to verify the trip computer by filling up the tank. > I just bought this car for a few weeks. The non turbo V6 with automatic transmission is not one of the most fuel efficient cars, so perhaps your numbers are not that extreme. However, I have no direct experience with the 2.5l V6 automatics. -- Göran Larsson hoh AT approve DOT se Senior Systems Analyst
