Well I have to tell you, a Saab is damn unique. They unique in the the way they look as well as the way they are engineered. I think if you buy a 900 or 900s you will be astounded at the engineering vs your VW bus. If you buy a 900 turbo you will be astounded at the engineering AND have a tough time wiping the grin off of your face everytime you drive that bitch. and by the way, if you do the repairs yourself a Saab is not all the expensive to keep. They are easy to work on and the parts are resonable. (it aint no chevy but then ... well it aint no chevy) But the 900 models all have fuel injection and that is a problem for a propane conversion. Now if you want a carburated saab with some really funky looks (makes a vw bus look down right mainstream) consider the Saabs from the 60s and early 70s, here are some pics if you have seen one: http://www.hut.fi/~pva/95.html http://home-1.12move.nl/~sh087921/ http://www.toltbbs.com/~bhammond/saab/saab41.jpg http://www.toltbbs.com/~bhammond/saab/saab93.jpg Good luck! * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free!
