As I said before - I think the best solution is the 4WD. And itīs true that itīs a religion if one prefers the FWD or the RWD. The RWD is very nice to drive on dry roads and itīs cool to provoke controlled oversteering in nice dry corners - but itīs the hell if you donīt expect that the conditions are not so fine, in the rain or even in ice and snow. For my point of view the RWD is only nice in the summer when you want to improove your driving technique and get a lot of adrenaline. Every SAAB beats every german RWD car in the winter! For everyday driving under everyday conditions the FWD is safer cause itīs easier to relase the accelerator when the car starts to understeer than to catch an oversteering, spinning car. Thatīs why all the german RWD cars needs a ESP system, cause little too much power in a narrow wet corner and youīve lost!
