Subject: Re: Crankshaft Pulley Replacement on 1987 900S



The crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) on my 87 9000S had to be
replaced at about 150,000 miles. If  the rubber inside let loose then it
should be replaced. Keeping your engine clean after you get your oil
leak fixed will help extend the life of the rubber in the pulley. Oil
does not help rubber last long.
